About Sam Lack Jewellery
Sam Lack is a designer and Jeweller based in Nottingham. From an early age Sam has had a love for drawing and began illustrating his interest for history, fashion and storytelling.
Having pursued an interest in the arts since leaving school, completing a foundation art course and a graphic design diploma. It wasn't until Sam’s 2nd year at university studying Design Craft at De Montfort University that he decided to hone his creativity into metalworks, particularly in the ancient technique of lost wax casting. During this time, Sam won a commission to design and make a pendant for the Lord Mayor Of Leicester in 2020.
This then led to a post graduate job working at an independent jewellers, Bone Arrow at the heart of Nottingham's creative quarter, where he also launched his first collection called ‘Street Origins’. Sam spent the following year at the UK’s only postgraduate residency at Bishopsland Educational Trust, where he was pushed to refine his skills to meet the high standards that the residency expected of its students. This residency was a real turning point in Sam’s career as he was able to gain knowledge from some of the most established Silversmith and Craftspeople in the UK.
Now, after launching his website, and a second collection called ‘Signature Collection’ Sam has continued to develop his ideas and love for the stories of the world, where he hopes to capture people's emotions and create high quality work.
